Digital Media File Organizer Associate

Kids Artistic Revue, also known as KAR, is one of the nation’s most prominent dance companies which generates multiple dance competition tours, dance conventions, multimedia productions, dance wear apparel, charity events, and award shows. With a reach of over 500,000 dancers annually, we take pride in providing a platform for aspiring dance talent and enhancing the visibility of dance entertainment in popular culture.

We are currently seeking Media Center Associates for our dance competition tour. We are looking for enthusiastic, upbeat and entertaining individuals. If you love to work with kids, and can work long hours with a limited amount of sleep, then this job is for you!

Responsible for managing Digital Asset with KAR’s digital media assets and archive including the archiving, curating, and offloading content received from our live events. Tracking, organizing, and naming incoming footage for our onsite photographer & videographer.

THIS IS A PART-TIME/SEASONAL JOB.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  •  Loading-in and Breakdown event set-up / Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
  •  Providing superior customer service to event attendees
  •  Engaging customers and maximizing sales at each convention event
  •  Communicating inventory, supply needs, and sales to Merchandise Associate & Directors
  •  Traveling required & work on weekends; Potentially Thurs pm – Monday am
  •  Maintaining a clean, tidy, and healthy work environment
  •  Be cooperative with teammates & can take direction from event Directors
  • Organization of KAR’s digital media.
  • Downloading and intricately organizing footage.
  • Setup and operation of equipment associated with the ingesting, archiving and digitizing process.
  • Work with production staff on the scheduling and archiving of new material created during normal operations.
  • Administer and maintain data storage platform users and file systems.
  • Administration, and operations related to the Asset Management System.
Experience / Qualifications
  •  Strong organizational skills
  •  Strong communication & customer service skills
  •  Must be comfortable with handling cash and credit transactions
  •  Must be a dedicated team player
  •  Retail or customer service experience is a plus
  •  Photography or video camera operator experience is a plus
  •  Able to work long strenuous hours. Weekend work hours average 25-40 hrs.
  •  Must be available to travel Thursday mornings through Monday mornings.
  •  Must have a valid government-issued ID or Passport

  • Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.

Physical and Sensory Abilities

  • Required to travel, see event list on jobs.dancekar.com
  • Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform desk work or type on a keyboard.
  • Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.
  • Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
  • Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds.

 Compensation

DOE – $200 – $1000 per event. Position to begin in February 2024.
