Kids Artistic Revue, Inc. is a professional production company that produces dance competitions and hosts about 200 live events per year. Kids Artistic Revue, also known as KAR, is one of the nation’s most prominent dance companies which generates multiple dance competition tours, dance conventions, multimedia productions, dancewear, charity events, and award shows. THIS IS A PART-TIME/SEASONAL POSITION
MAIN JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unloading boxes, road cases, rolling racks, banners, etc. from the tour truck and into the competition venue. We call this process, “Load-In”. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Setting up the merchandise road cases & equipment in a designated area. As well as organizing and displaying merchandise to make it visually appealing. Think “Pop-Up Shop”.
- Operating and Maintaining a Point of Sale system
- Tracking and being on top of any backstock merchandise boxes as well as what is low in inventory to ensure the next show receives enough inventory
- Be cooperative with coworkers & can take direction from your event Director
- Be able to manage an app based Point of Sale system as well as an application used to display competition line up and ads on the lobby TV’s connected to your setup.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Retail experience and customer service skills are required and preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong technical based skills that include app based systems
- Must be a dedicated team player and be a cultural fit
- Able to stand for long periods of time. Weekend work hours average 25-40 hrs.
- Must be available to travel Thursday mornings through Monday mornings.
- Must have a valid government-issued ID or Passport
COMPENSATION
DOE – $200 – $1000 per event $16-$18 per hour. Position to begin in February 2024.
