KAR Productions, one of the nation’s leading dance production companies, is seeking detail-oriented and energetic individuals to join our 2026 touring season as Media Center Associates (Photo editors + Production Assistants). KAR Productions produces over 200 live dance events annually, and this role is essential in ensuring that the incredible moments captured onstage are preserved, organized, and ready to share.
Position Overview
As a Media Center Associate, you will split your time between digital media tasks and hands-on production support at our live events. You will work closely with our photo and video teams to cull, organize, and lightly edit event photos, as well as label and manage video footage (no editing required). In addition, you’ll be part of our event setup and breakdown crew—helping load in and load out equipment and assisting with branded materials on-site.
This role is perfect for someone with strong organizational skills, a keen eye for visual content, and the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, family-friendly live event environment.
Responsibilities
- Photo Editing & Organization
- Cull and lightly edit event photos to meet company standards
- Organize and label images for storage and future use

- Label and organize raw video files from live events (no editing required)

- Production Support
- Assist in load in/load out, setup, and breakdown of event equipment and branded materials
- Ensure company branding and promotional materials are properly displayed throughout the venue

- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with photographers, videographers, and production directors to ensure smooth operations
- Support onsite staff with additional production needs as directed

Qualifications
- Experience with photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar) preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under time-sensitive conditions
- Team-player mindset with strong communication skills
- Comfortable working long hours, including weekends (Thursday–Monday travel schedule)
- Physically able to assist with load in/load out (must be able to lift 20 lbs)
- Experience working with children and families is a plus
- Must be able to travel nationwide and have a valid government-issued ID or passport
